GS seems to have broken out convincingly out of the short-term consolidation pattern. Just int time for the earnings season shenanigans. I've bought a sizeable Bullish call spread.

My real work got unseasonably busy (not that I'm complaining), and I had to pretty much stay away from trading for the past few weeks.
I got an alert earlier today that a gap-fill trade I had placed on C (a while ago) had been executed. When I pull up the chart for C, there was this totally eery coincidence.
In the 41 year trading history of Citi & its predecessors, the 2 highest volume (2.1 billion+ shares) days were 5-Aug-2009 & 17-Dec-2009 (today). Now, what are the odds that the trading volumes would be the same? Not approximately same, but EXACTLY same!

I don't know what to make of it, but it definitely makes the hair on my neck stand up!
